The basis of the A-BUS system is simple. Instead of running speaker wire all over the house, and a separate Cat 5 run for control, send everything over Cat 5 and power the speakers locally in the room with a Decora sized amplifier that conveniently hides as a wall-plate volume control. The AB-202 is a single source distribution module which makes up the "heart" of the A-BUS system. It accepts a single audio source and converts it to Cat 5 for use with the Channel Vision four zone distribution module. IR control is accomplished through 4 emitter outputs for external equipment.
